Directions to the property need to be from two ways because of frequent flooding of the most direct route for most people:

From Prairie du Chein, go south on Hwy 18, East, for approximately 6 miles, crossing the Wisconsin River. Immediately after crossing the Wisconsin River, turn left on County Hwy. C, following the Wisconsin River upstream for about 6 miles.  Turn right on Barker Hollow Rd. at the Millville Boat Landing Park.  Follow Barker Hollow Road south 1 mile to the Douglas Hallock Stewardship Forest.  A sign will be on the right side of the road at the turn-in to the parking lot.  Highway C is prone to flooding and being closed.

Coming from the east, and starting in Boscobel, go west on Hwy. 133 about 9.5 miles.  Turn right on Hwy. C about 6 miles, again to Barker Hollow Rd.

Coming from the south turn off Hwy. 18 on to Hwy. 133, near the Mount Hope water tower, about 5 miles west of Mount Ida.  Follow Hwy. 133 north about 6 miles.  Turn left on Hwy. C and follow it about 6 miles, again to Barker Hollow Rd.

Bring lunch, shoes for walking and dress for the weather.  We will be walking to and
